Speech Therapist (PRN)

Description Accommodate, Restore & Collaborate (ARC Rehab) is seeking a PRN Speech-Language Pathologist for Lee Manor Nursing & Rehabilitation in Des Plaines, IL. We are looking for an ST to prevent, assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, social communication, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders in the adult patients at this site.

Job duties include, but are not limited to, the following: Evaluate, treat, and diagnose speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders. Provide training and education to family/caregivers and other professionals. Work collaboratively with professionals from all other disciplines in the SNF setting. Appropriately and effectively complete documentation.

Screen residents and individuals who may benefit from therapy. Communicate patient status and needs effectively to the patients, family, caregivers, or other members involved with patient care. Expand and enhance self, in both clinical and professional knowledge through associations and continuing education. Provide in-service training sessions or other educational presentations to members of the interdisciplinary team as needed.

Support and participate in department operations/meetings.

Requirements

Licensed in the state of Illinois as a Speech-Language Pathologist. Ability to communicate with patients, families, supervisors, and colleagues effectively and professionally. Comfortable with computers and computer software. Preferred experience working at a SNF, but we are open to other practice area experience.
