Senior Staff Accountant

Senior Staff Accountant Core. Medical Group is seeking an experienced Senior Staff Accountant to join our Accounting team. Reporting to the Controller, this position is ideal for an accounting professional who combines strong technical skills with analytical thinking, ownership, and a genuine desire to solve problems and improve processes.

What You'll Do

Own assigned general ledger accounts and related accounting activities Prepare journal entries, accruals, prepaids, and allocations Complete month-end and year-end close responsibilities Prepare balance sheet reconciliations and investigate discrepancies Maintain fixed asset, prepaid, accrued liability, payroll, and other account schedules Analyze expenses, account activity, and financial variances Support financial reporting and budgeting Prepare audit schedules and documentation Assist with assigned tax and compliance filings Partner with Payroll, Billing, Accounts Receivable, Finance, and Operations Maintain and improve accounting SOPs, controls, and documentation Recommend improvements that strengthen accounting accuracy and efficiency Own issues through resolution and communicate findings and recommended next steps What We're Looking For Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance 5+ years of progressive accounting experience Strong general ledger, account reconciliation, and month-end close experience Strong knowledge of GAAP Proficiency in Excel, including formulas, lookup functions, Pivot.

Tables, and data analysis Accounting or ERP system experience Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities Strong organization, communication, and deadline-management skills Demonstrated initiative, attention to detail, accountability, and follow-through Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across departments CPA designation, audit-support experience, and Epicor familiarity are a plus, but not required.

Location/Schedule: Corporate Hybrid Status: Non-Exempt Compensation: $75k-$85k/year. Compensation

$75k-$85k/year. Depending on previous experience. Core.
