Available Positions:

• Full-time, 80 hours per pay period; Day Shift - 6:00am - 2:30pm

• Part-time 2, 16 hours per pay period; Day Shift - 6:00am - 2:30pm

Weekend rotation: Every other weekend Weekend shift differential available

Holiday rotation: Rotating holidays

Position Summary:

Plans, directs, and evaluates total nursing care and functions, in accordance with established standards of practice.

Position Responsibilities:

• Provides the best possible nursing care by planning, organizing, and directing the nursing functions of patients on the unit.

• Prepares, administers and records medications in accordance with policy regarding administration of meds.

• Initiates and implements patient care plan.

• Makes nursing assignments appropriate to the skill level of employees.

• Maintains acceptable standards of patient care.

• Identifies problems and guides personnel to their solution.

• Creates a working climate that provides growth and job satisfaction of personnel.

• Accurately and promptly implements physicians' orders.

• Administers medications and intravenous solutions skillfully and correctly.

• Maintains the standards of accurate and complete recording and reporting.

• Arranges to have needed supplies and equipment on hand.

• Participates in planning changes and improvements.

• Participates in MBMC safety programs.

• Supports and enforces infection-control & antibiotic stewardship policies and procedures.

• Is resourceful and calm in emergencies.

• Keeps DON or Charge Nurse informed of patients, needs, and problems on the nursing unit.

• Participates in orientation and in-service training for personnel.

• Evaluates the performance of personnel with recommendations for appropriate action.

• Assists in reviewing and revising policies and procedures.

• Maintains a professional approach with confidentiality.

• Displays concern and initiative.

• Observes and supports MBMC policy.

• Is prompt and efficient with minimal absences.

• Cooperates and maintains good rapport with nursing staff, medical staff, other departments, and visitors.

• Promptly answers residents' call lights & requests.

• All other duties as requested within scope of practice.

Position Requirements:

Minimum Education:

• Graduate of an accredited program in nursing

• Current RN license to practice in the State of Wisconsin

Required Skills:

• Current CPR certification

• Excellent customer service skills

• Ability to communicate through spoken and written English
