Buffalo, NY Schedule: 10:00 PM - 6:30 AM (Sunday Night
- Friday Morning) Starting Pay: $22.90/hour On-Site | Full-Time | Hourly Join Our Team We're seeking a detail-oriented Inspector to support our 3rd shift operations in Buffalo, NY. This role plays a critical part in ensuring product quality throughout the manufacturing process by conducting inspections, maintaining quality records, and supporting continuous improvement efforts.
Key Responsibilities
Perform first-piece, in-process, receiving, tooling, and final inspections. Read and interpret blueprints and specifications. Utilize a variety of gauges and inspection equipment. Calibrate, set up, and maintain inspection tools and gauges. Inspect specialty tooling including forms, shaves, drills, and broaches before use.
Verify compliance with plating, heat-treat, and other outside process specifications. Maintain accurate inspection records and documentation. Identify quality concerns, issue rejections when necessary, and recommend corrective actions. Support communication and coordination between Quality, Engineering, Maintenance, and Production teams.
Maintain a safe, clean work environment in accordance with 6S standards. Follow all Quality Management System procedures and work instructions.
Qualifications
Ability to read and understand blueprints. Strong shop math skills. Experience using precision measuring instruments and inspection equipment. Knowledge of calibration practices and quality inspection methods. Understanding of manufacturing processes, heat treating, plating, and outside operations. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
Ability to make sound quality decisions and effectively communicate findings.
