Deck Hand

1.0 PRIMARY PURPOSE Working as a multi skilled Deck Hand under the direction and supervision of the Deck Supervisor, providing marine vessel hydrocarbon loadingoperations, boat mooring and handling operations, general vessel activities, helideck and helicopteroperations, and general deck crew duties in accordance with client operating procedures.

Responsible for the safe operation of general deck, lifting, and rigging equipment 3.0 DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• M ooring and unmooring export LNG t ankers at the o ffshore Hub , usin g rope messengers, el ectric capstans, quick re lease hook mech ani s ms, and supplementary moor ing d ampeners
• M ooring and unmooring export Conden sate t ankers at the FPSO , usin g fixed mo o r ing wi nch / ha wser systems and tugs for running lines
• Deploying and retrieving the Conde nsate loading hose from the FPSO fixed reel
• Deploying and retri eving flexible hoses for fuel bunke ring, sludge, water , chemica ls at both the H ub and FPSO locations
• Assi sting in the periodic change out of fixed mo orings and fend er s using winches, sto ppers, tensioners , a nd mo oring system dampeners
• Securing and mooring additional marine craft ( tugs , crew boats, suppl y ve ssels) alongside , i ncluding assi s ting with people trans fers, equipment trans fers , and loading operations
• C rane operations support duties , including deck and supply boat unloading / backloading, as the Banksman Slinger and / or load handler
• Rigging lifts as required, including general maintenance of the rigging loft
• Helic opter / Helideck operations, including refuelling , passenger control, freight / baggage handling, and heli deck f irst line firefighting
• General deck duties , incl uding, cleaning, painting, fabric maintenance, stores delivery , and material s hand ling
• Basic care and m aintenance of fixed marine equip ment, inclu ding navigational marker buoys , and helideck fire fightin g equip ment
• Maintain ing the proper conditi on of tools and equipment
• Undertak ing training as offered by the C lient or C ompa n y to exp and ar ea of competency
• Assisting in emergency response situation in accordance with Client Emergency Response procedures, performing nominated / allocated tasks in the Emergency Response team 4.0 OTHER ROLES E MERGENCY DUTIES
• In the event of an emergency, carry out dutie s as identified in the station bill / emergency response procedure or as directed by the Client ; this requires p ersonnel to undertake the training nec essary to prepare t hem sel ves for these roles HEALTH & SAFETY
• Maintain ing work ing conditions and environment in a safe and healthy condition
• Act ing responsibly and tak ing all necessary precautions to protect themselves, fellow workers , and any other persons potentially affected by their activities from i njury and preventable illness
• Ensur ing any defects in working practices, machinery, tools, equipment, protective measures , and protective clothing are immediately brought to the attention of management , to take remedial steps to rec tify the defe ct or take the equipment out of service until repaired or made saf e 5.0 CRITICAL SKILLS / COMPETENCY SAFETY
