Automation Technician - Fixed Term Contract

This position is a fixed-term contract projected to last 9 months. The position offers benefits, training, and full time hours. A $1,000 bonus will be offered at 12 & 24 weeks for those that complete these milestone dates. Job Summary

The role will support new equipment process and product introduction projects working alongside development engineers.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Supporting key activities within the automation engineering department Support new equipment process and product introduction projects working alongside development engineers. Support activities that ensure new equipment meets the regulatory requirements of the business, validation, health and safety etc. Work with all departments across the business to ensure that new processes meet their requirements.

Assist with the training and development of personnel at all levels of West on new processes or systems introduced to the company. Act in accordance with the company’s Guiding Principles and adherence to the corporate Code of Conduct. Compliance to all site Environmental, Health and Safety requirements, training and regulations.

Compliance to all local site company policies, procedures and corporate policies. Perform additional duties at the request of the direct supervisor. Other duties as assigned Additional Responsibilities Education Bachelor's Degree technically relevant field. (Electronics, Electrical or Computer Systems) preferred Work Experience No min required Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Able to be aware of all relevant SOPs as per Company policy as they are related to the position covered by this Job Description Support and contribute in Lean Sigma programs and activities towards delivery of the set target Able to comply with the company’s safety policy at all times Able to comply with the company’s quality policy at all times.

License and Certifications Travel Requirements 10%: Up to 26 business days per year Physical Requirements Medium-Exerting up to 50lb/22kg of force occasionally and/or up to 20lbs/9kg of force frequently, and/or up to 10lbs/4kgs of force constantly to move objects.
