Stockroom Clerk

SCOPE: The Stockroom Clerk receives, stores, issues, and delivers materials and equipment in a warehouse, stockroom, or storage area, and keeps inventory records of incoming/outgoing shipments. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Follows transportation schedules for shipment of stock, and completes necessary shipping documents Checks records of stock received and shipped, and completes invoices indicating item cost Checks estimates of stock need to maintain adequate inventory levels Checks goods received against purchase invoices Keeps shelves and goods clean and sees that stock is in its proper place and neatly arranged; notifies superiors when stock becomes low Replenishes the stock on the shelves from a general storeroom as needed Receives, stores, and issues materials and equipment in a warehouse, stockroom or storage area Perform other related duties, tasks and or projects , as assigned Knowledge of: Stockroom methods and procedures Inventory records maintenance Computer inventory and control methods Skilled in: Keeping accurate records of goods received and shipped Establishing and maintaining harmonious working relationships with other employees Segregating and storing goods Making rapid and accurate computations Visually inspecting materials to ensure items meet quality specifications Ability to: Follow instructions received verbally and in writing Fill requisitions and deliver supplies on time, every time.

Prepare bills of lading showing proper shipping instructions, stock received reports and other reports of work completed Routinely lift loads of 25-55 lbs. from floor level to above waists Take physical inventories and keeps perpetual inventory records of the quantities of stock on-hand Wrap and pack goods for shipment to ensure customer receives undamaged product
