Commercial Roofing Superintendent – Tampa Bay / Sarasota, FL Company: Crown Roofing & Waterproofing (CRW) Location: Tampa Bay to Sarasota, FL Job Type: Full-Time Classification: Exempt Join Our Team Crown Roofing & Waterproofing is seeking an experienced Commercial Roofing Superintendent to oversee commercial roofing projects throughout the Tampa Bay, Bradenton, and Sarasota areas.

We are looking for a hands-on construction leader with extensive commercial roofing experience who can effectively manage multiple crews, coordinate jobsite operations, maintain production schedules, and ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards. The ideal candidate is a proactive problem-solver with strong leadership skills, excellent communication abilities, and a proven track record of successfully managing commercial roofing installations.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee daily field operations for multiple commercial roofing projects throughout the Tampa Bay and Sarasota region. Supervise roofing crews, foremen, and subcontractors to ensure quality workmanship and productivity. Coordinate manpower, equipment, materials, and scheduling to meet project deadlines. Monitor project progress, labor efficiency, and job costs to maintain profitability.

Ensure installations meet manufacturer specifications, project requirements, building codes, and company quality standards. Conduct regular jobsite inspections to identify and resolve production, quality, and safety concerns. Enforce OSHA regulations and company safety policies, including fall protection requirements.

Coordinate with Project Managers, General Contractors, inspectors, and customers regarding project schedules and progress. Review project plans, specifications, and scope of work to ensure accurate field execution. Identify potential delays, material shortages, and operational challenges and implement timely solutions.

Maintain accurate daily production reports, manpower records, and project documentation. Assist with crew development, training, and performance management. Participate in project planning, scheduling, and closeout activities.

Qualifications

Minimum 5 years of commercial roofing experience , including supervisory or superintendent-level responsibilities. Strong knowledge of commercial roofing systems, including TPO, PVC, EPDM, modified bitumen, built-up roofing, and metal roofing. Proven ability to manage multiple crews and commercial roofing projects simultaneously.

Strong understanding of construction plans, specifications, scheduling, and job costing. Experience coordinating subcontractors, materials, equipment, and field labor. Thorough knowledge of OSHA construction safety requirements and fall protection practices. Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively with field crews, management, and customers. Ability to travel regularly between Tampa Bay, Bradenton, and Sarasota jobsites. Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record. Bilingual English/Spanish skills preferred. OSHA 30 certification preferred.
