CNC Laser & Turret Operator

• Wilkes-Barre, PA, Position Type: Full Time, Salary Range: Undisclosed, Job Category: Manufacturing, We are seeking a full-time, 3rd shift, NC Punch Press Operator for our Sheet Metal Fabrication Department. Associates in these positions support the manufacture of cabinets or other products by preparing sheet metal stock for application to finished product. Attention to detail is required and all associates must meet standards for acceptable production and quality. Candidates selected for these positions must successfully complete screening requirements and a probationary period of 400 working hours. Please note that these opportunities are part of a bargaining unit rooted in seniority principles. Consequently, shifts are not guaranteed. Applicants should be available to work any shift.

Job Responsibilities

Sets up and runs any and all NC Turrets, as well as the Fiber Laser and Laser/Turret. Utilizes precision measuring equipment. Reads and interprets blueprints. Performs and verifies machine set-ups, to meet performance and quality standards. Operates auxiliary equipment as assigned. Uses simple tools such as tape measure and protractor.

Cleans and maintains work area. Meets production and quality standards. Ability to work effectively and cooperatively in a team environment. Regular attendance is required.

Basic Qualifications

High School diploma or equivalent required. Basic computer skills.

Preferred Qualifications

Previous experience working in a manufacturing environment. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings or technical drawings. Ability to use common measuring systems and measurement tools.
