Lifeguard and WSI Instructors

Lifeguard/WSI Instructors � Part-Time Litchfield Public Schools is currently accepting applications for Lifeguard/WSI Instructors Lifeguard and WSI certification is required.

Qualifications

Current American Red Cross Lifeguard and/or WSI, CPR and First Aid Certifications a plus or willingness to invest and attend training Able to sit/stand for up to 4 hours Must be able to lift at least 50 pounds Ability to work a minimum of 2 shifts (approximately 10 hours) per week in the summer. Excellent communication skills Responsibilities: Provide CPR/AED to infants, children, adults, first aid techniques and water rescue techniques as needed Acts in emergency situations and provides rescue and first aid assistance up to his or her training level until medical personnel arrive.

Responsible for daily maintenance in and around the pool facility as well as locker rooms Enforce pool rules and regulations on a consistent basis to ensure safety Fills out reports for incidents or other records for reference.
