Job Posting: JR102259 Storekeeper II (Open) Department: FSU Physical Plant, Facilities Planner | JM Position Type: Non-Regular Fixed Term (Fixed Term) Open Date: 10-14-2026 Close Date: $20.51/hour Job Description: Frostburg State University (FSU) seeks applications for a full-time contractual, non-exempt Storekeeper II position.

Salary range 6 and includes the University of Maryland contractual benefits package which includes paid leave, holidays, and sick leave; contractual employee health benefits and tuition remission benefits; and supplemental retirement options.

Responsibilities

Under general supervision, this position is responsible for receiving, storing, and distributing supplies, materials, and equipment; maintaining storeroom inventory; and providing guidance and training to support staff. Duties include receiving and inspecting shipments to ensure compliance with delivery documentation and purchase order specifications, processing receiving records, and accurately identifying inventory through tagging, labeling, etching, or other marking methods.

The position also routes and delivers supplies, materials, and equipment to designated locations across campus and performs other related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

High school diploma or GED and two years of related work experience. Valid Maryland non-commercial Class C or commercial Class B or equivalent driver's license. Working knowledge of the procedures and practices of issuing and storing supplies, materials, and equipment. Ability to perform basic mathematics; to communicate effectively both orally and in writing; to follow directions; to provide guidance and instruction to others; to operate computers and other standard office equipment; to establish and maintain effective work relationships; to perform extensive standing, walking, and climbing; to lift, transport and stock assigned supplies and materials; to wear and work in personal protective equipment.

Candidates selected for employment will be subject to medical inquiries and/or medical examinations to determine ability to perform the job.

Preferred Qualifications

Ability to operate a forklift. Other: Except for qualifications established by law, additional related experience and formal education in which one has gained the knowledge, skills, and abilities required for full performance of the work of the job class may be substituted for the education or experience requirement on a year-for-year basis with 30 college credits being equivalent to one year of experience.
