Long Term Care Pharmacist

NOW HIRING: LONG-TERM CARE PHARMACIST Red River Pharmacy Services Position: Long-Term Care Pharmacist Employment Type: Full-Time | 32 Hours Per Week / additional call rotation possible Licensure Requirement: Active Texas Pharmacist License Position Summary Red River Pharmacy Services is seeking a dedicated, detail-oriented, and experienced Long-Term Care Pharmacist to join our growing team.

This full-time position offers a 32-hour workweek and the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on patient care in the long-term care pharmacy setting. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong clinical judgment, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to medication safety, regulatory compliance, and exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities

Review, verify, and dispense prescription medications accurately and efficiently. Ensure compliance with all applicable federal and Texas pharmacy laws and regulations. Provide clinical oversight and medication management for long-term care patients. Collaborate with nursing facilities, healthcare providers, and pharmacy staff to ensure timely and accurate medication delivery.

Identify and resolve medication-related concerns, including drug interactions, contraindications, and dosing discrepancies. Support pharmacy technicians and other team members in daily pharmacy operations. Maintain accurate documentation and uphold quality assurance and patient safety standards. Assist with workflow management and continuous process improvement.

Qualifications

Active, unrestricted Pharmacist License in the State of Texas (Required). Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) or Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy from an accredited pharmacy program. Previous long-term care pharmacy experience preferred but not required. Strong knowledge of pharmacy regulations, medication management, and patient safety.

Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
