Join our team as an Engineer-in-Training (EIT), Mechanical Systems and play a key role in the design, construction, testing, and delivery of world-class ships. In this role, you'll work alongside experienced engineers and industry experts, gaining hands-on experience in ship systems while contributing to innovative engineering solutions in a dynamic shipbuilding environment.

Support the design and planning of processes, tools, equipment, and systems required for ship construction, repair, and modernization. Review technical documents, drawings, and engineering products developed by internal teams and external stakeholders, providing comments and recommendations. Assist in technical investigations, data analysis, and problem-solving activities.
Help identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities within engineering processes and practices. Contribute to risk identification and mitigation activities within project and engineering teams. Prepare technical reports, presentations, and supporting documentation. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across engineering, production, and project functions.
Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline. Eligibility for registration as an Engineer-in-Training (EIT) or Professional Engineer with Engineers Nova Scotia. Understanding of engineering principles, standards, and industry best practices. Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
Effective written and verbal communication skills.
