Principal / Senior Building Control Surveyor (Registered Building Inspector) - 140387 Contract Length: Ongoing Location: Hackney IR35: Inside Pay Rate to Intermediary: £575 - £725 per day Security Clearance: DBS Spinwell is recruiting for a Registered Building Inspector for an excellent opportunity within the public sector.

RESPONSIBILITIES

OF THE REGISTERED BUILDING INSPECTOR Assessing Building Regulation applications, plans and technical submissions. Undertaking site inspections across a wide range of building types. Managing projects appropriate to your level of RBI registration and competency. Ensuring compliance with Building Regulations, the Building Act and associated legislation.

Providing clear, professional and practical technical advice. Supporting Building Control statutory functions and Building Safety Regulator requirements. Acting as a senior technical resource within the team. Mentoring and supporting Building Control Officers, trainees and apprentices. Developing strong relationships with developers, architects, consultants and stakeholders.

Supporting service improvement initiatives and modernisation projects. Working collaboratively with Planning, Housing, Highways and Regeneration teams. Maintaining professional competence and RBI registration requirements. SKILLS/EXPERIENCE OF THE REGISTERED BUILDING INSPECTOR Strong Building Control technical expertise.

Local Authority or Approved Inspector experience. Sound understanding of the Building Safety Regulator framework. Confidence managing projects independently.
