Permanent Substitute Teacher

Position Description: Permanent Substitute Teacher 2026-2027 Location: Murphy School Salary and terms of Employment: Anticipated Start Date: Immediately Position follows the school calendar Salary - $140 per day, Bachelor's Degree is required Reports to Building Principal Description: The substitute teacher assumes responsibility for a class and performs all the tasks of the absent teacher, such as keeping students in order, conducting quizzes, and sharing homework assignments.

Success in this role will be demonstrated by providing students with guidance, maintaining the safety and well-being of students, assisting with instruction, and maintaining a positive classroom climate in the absence of the full-time teacher.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or higher is desirable Previous experience working with children is desirable Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build supportive relationships with students. Patience, compassion, consistency, and adaptability to meet students' behavioral needs.
