Description Responsible for shaping molds or mold sections using such machines as automatic molding machine, air-set sand mixer, rota-lift and jolt-squeeze molding machines.

Requirements

Select and assemble appropriate flask equipment and patterns Position patterns in flasks, fill flasks with sand, ramming the sand around the pattern with tools, hands and use of molding machines Prepare molds for drawing of patterns and repair damage to mold impressions in sand as necessary Select and set in position appropriate cores and/or chills; vents molds as necessary Assemble cope and drag sections of mold and place mold on pouring conveyor Report production quantities and times for each work order Report worn pattern equipment to supervisors Perform any and all other job-related tasks as assigned Monday-Thursday 05:00am-4:30pm, with occasional Fridays PPE Required (company provided) Steel-toe boots Physical demands: standing for extended periods of time and bending, pulling, lifting of patterns and sand cores
