Family Care Coordinator (Bilingual Spanish/English) - VMBH Anne Arundel County

The Family Care Coordinator(FCC) works with a child and their family when there is a significant impairment in the child’s functioning in one or more of the domains of school, family, and/or community. The FCC uses a family engagement tool to identify strengths and needs of the family and eventually creates a care plan with goals the family helps to create.

The FCC supports the family’s pursuit of these goals using their knowledge of the community and support agencies as well as motivational interviewing skills with the goal of improving child and family functioning in the domains identified. The FCC may also provide direct intervention to youth in a group format to practice and support interpersonal skill development.
