A Day in the Life
Primary Responsibilities Lead end-to-end medical device product transfer projects, ensuring compliance with FDA, ISO 13485, and applicable regulatory requirements. Develop and maintain integrated project plans, establishing timelines, milestones, resource requirements, and budget baselines to ensure successful project execution.
Build, manage, and monitor critical path schedules using Microsoft Project, proactively tracking progress and driving on-time delivery. Facilitate cross-functional collaboration among engineering, operations, quality, supply chain, and R&D teams to achieve project objectives. Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks while developing and executing contingency plans to minimize business and operational impacts.
Remove technical and operational roadblocks, enabling efficient project execution and accelerating issue resolution. Provide technical leadership and engineering expertise to support critical project decisions, process improvements, and manufacturing readiness activities. Communicate project status, risks, accomplishments, and recommendations to senior leadership and key stakeholders through clear and effective presentations.
Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline and a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience, OR Master’s degree with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience. 3+ years of experience leading engineering projects within a regulated medical device, life sciences, or highly regulated manufacturing environment.
Experience managing product transfers, manufacturing process implementation, or production scale-up activities. Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Project, including project scheduling, critical path management, and resource planning. Demonstrated experience leading cross-functional teams and managing project risks, timelines, and deliverables.
Preferred Qualifications
PMP, CAPM, Scrum Master, or other project management certification. Experience applying Agile and Scrum methodologies in engineering or manufacturing project environments. Knowledge of FDA regulations, ISO 13485, GMP, and medical device design transfer requirements. Experience presenting project updates, technical reviews, and business recommendations to executive leadership.
Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills across global and cross-functional organizations.
