EVS Custodian - Brighton

The Entry-Level Custodian is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and sanitary environment within a Medical Facility . This role supports patient care by ensuring all areas—including exam rooms, procedure rooms, restrooms, hallways, and common spaces—are cleaned to healthcare standards. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, dependable, and comfortable working in a fast-paced medical setting.

Shifts Available: ( Must work one Saturday per month ) Monday–Friday | 5:00 AM–1:30 PM Monday–Friday | 7:00 AM–3:30 PM Monday–Friday | 7:00 PM–3:30 AM Monday–Friday | 10:00 PM–6:30 AM Compensation & Benefits: $16.50 per hour/ paid weekly $300 sign-on bonus $150 employee referral bonus Health, Dental, Vision Insurance Key Responsibilities: Perform routine and detailed cleaning of surgical and clinical areas, including procedure rooms, exam rooms, pre-op and recovery areas, offices, restrooms, waiting rooms, and hallways.

Safely clean and disinfect surfaces, equipment, and high-touch areas according to established healthcare and infection-control protocols. Handle and properly dispose of regulated medical waste, including sharps containers and biohazard materials. Restock supplies such as soap, paper products, sanitizing solutions, and PPE.

Perform floor care tasks including mopping, vacuuming, sweeping, and spot cleaning. Empty trash and biomedical waste receptacles and transport to designated disposal areas. Experience: Previous experience in healthcare cleaning, Environmental Services (EVS), or custodial/janitorial work. Experience working in surgical, medical, or clinical environments preferred but not required.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Must pass required background checks. Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift, and perform physical tasks throughout the shift. Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
