1st Shift Housekeeper

1st Shift Hotel Housekeeper Location: Surfside Beach, SC 29575 Pay: $13.00 per hour Schedule: Full-Time | 1st Shift | Weekends & Holidays Required Benefit: Free Daily Lunch Job Summary We are seeking dependable and detail-oriented Housekeepers to join a hospitality team in Surfside Beach, SC. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining clean, comfortable, and guest-ready rooms while ensuring a positive experience for guests.

The ideal candidate takes pride in their work, works efficiently, and can remain active throughout the shift. Housekeepers will receive daily support from a dedicated Houseman who assists with linens, supplies, trash removal, and other housekeeping needs.

Responsibilities

Clean and prepare guest rooms, bathrooms, and assigned areas according to established standards Make beds, change linens, replace towels, and restock toiletries and room supplies Dust furniture, clean mirrors, sanitize surfaces, vacuum carpets, sweep, and mop floors Clean sinks, showers, bathtubs, toilets, and other bathroom fixtures Remove trash, dirty linens, and used supplies from guest rooms and assigned areas Maintain clean and organized housekeeping carts, closets, and supply areas Report maintenance issues, safety concerns, damages, and lost-and-found items to management Complete assigned rooms accurately and within required timeframes Assist with laundry services, public area cleaning, and other housekeeping duties as needed Follow all sanitation procedures, safety guidelines, and workplace policies Provide courteous and professional service to guests and fellow team members Perform additional duties as assigned Qualifications Minimum 2 years of hotel housekeeping, hospitality, janitorial, or professional cleaning experience Dependable, punctual, and able to maintain a full-time work schedule Availability to work weekends and holidays as scheduled Strong attention to detail and time-management skills Ability to work independently and follow instructions Professional attitude, appearance, and communication skills Reliable transportation to and from the Surfside Beach worksite Physical Requirements Ability to stand and walk for extended periods Frequent bending, stooping, reaching, pushing, pulling, and repetitive movements Ability to lift and carry up to 30 pounds Ability to occasionally handle heavier items with assistance Benefits Free lunch provided daily Full-time, consistent schedule Supportive team environment Opportunity to work in a hospitality-focused setting near the beach
