Radio Board Operator

Summary We are looking for a reliable, detail-oriented Board Operator to join our Programming team and help execute live and recorded radio programming. The ideal candidate is comfortable working in a fast-paced broadcast environment, understands the importance of timing and precision, and can confidently manage the technical elements of a live radio show while working closely with on-air talent and the programming team.

Essential Functions

● Operate the broadcast console for live and recorded programming. ● Execute commercial breaks, station IDs, promos, liners, music, network elements and other scheduled programming accurately and on time. ● Monitor live broadcasts and ensure programming runs smoothly and according to the program log. ● Coordinate with on-air talent, producers, Programming and Traffic during live shows.

● Manage satellite/network feeds and other incoming programming sources as needed. ● Load, organize and verify audio elements in the station automation system. ● Monitor audio levels and overall broadcast quality. ● Troubleshoot basic technical or automation issues and communicate problems quickly to the appropriate team.

● Make real-time adjustments when programming changes, shows run long or unexpected situations occur. ● Follow station programming clocks, format guidelines and FCC requirements. ● Assist with special programming, remotes, live events and holiday coverage as needed.
