Instrument Development Engineer (m/f/d)
Job description
Mechanical and optomechanical design of scientific instruments: optical bench layouts, kinematic mounts, sample positioning mechanisms, structural enclosures Thermal analysis and design of temperature control systems, including thermoelectric (Peltier) regulation for sample environments requiring sub degree stability Electronics architecture definition: power distribution, signal routing, connector and cabling layouts for instruments combining lasers, detectors, and embedded computing Resource budgets (mass, power, thermal dissipation) and technical content for system-level documentation and specifications Prototyping, testing, and design iteration of hardware in close collaboration with the optics and software teams Graduate degree (Master’s or PhD) in mechanical engineering, mechatronics, physics, optics or a closely related discipline working independently in a small, cross-disciplinary team.
self-motivated and proactive in concluding assigned tasks according to the company goals Proficiency in 3D parametric CAD (Solid.
