Body Shop Estimator

Description The Body Shop Estimator is responsible for being the liaison between insurance companies, customer, and manager to ensure proper repaid are conducted while providing work-class customer service. The Body Shop Estimator is supervised by the Body Shop Director.

Essential Functions

and Duties

• Communicate with insurance companies to get supplement approvals and payments sent directly to the body shop throughout the repair process.
• Communicate with customer as repair milestones are being completed
• Complete OEM training within 6 months of employment
• Conduct final quality checks while verifying estimate line-by-line
• Prepare estimates in accordance to manufacturers specifications and provide repair procedure to assigned technicians.
• Other duties as assigned.
• Constructively communicate with other dealership personnel as required to satisfy customer needs.
• Report to management any situation or condition that jeopardizes the safety, welfare, or integrity of the dealership, its personnel, or customers.
• Maintain personal grooming, hygiene, and uniform standards according to departmental policies. Belts worn on trousers to be of no buckle design to avoid scratching paint on customer’s vehicles.
• Arrive at work, take breaks, and depart work at the times designated by management.
• Attend meetings and trainings as scheduled.
• Ensure that work areas and customer waiting areas are kept clean.

Requirements

Additional Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Time Management – ability to manage one’s own time
• At least 2 years of estimating experience in luxury automotive market
• Detail oriented with the ability to think outside the box.
• Strong verbal and written communication
• CCC One Experience

• High school graduate or equivalent
• 18 years or older
• Possess an acceptable driving record and valid driver’s license in state of residence
• A criminal history background check will be conducted prior to beginning employment
• Clear pre-employment drug screen
