CNC Machinist Location: Falconer, NY Number of Openings: 1 Job Responsibilities Operate CNC milling, turning, and other machining equipment to fabricate parts and components to specifications. Interpret engineering drawings and blueprints, ensuring precision in each project. Conduct regular machine maintenance and troubleshooting to ensure functionality and safety.
Collaborate with engineering teams to provide feedback and suggest improvements for manufacturing processes. Maintain accurate records of production, quality, and other relevant metrics. Uphold the company's commitment to quality by exercising attention to detail and implementing best practices in machining. Assist in training and mentoring junior machinists as needed.
Essential Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree or certification in CNC machining preferred. Proficiency in operating CNC machines and understanding related tools and equipment. Strong mathematical skills, particularly in relation to measurements and tolerances. Ability to read and interpret detailed engineering drawings and specifications.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Strong communication skills and ability to work well within a team environment. Desired Experience Minimum of 3 years of experience as a CNC machinist in a manufacturing environment. Familiarity with various machining techniques, including 5 Axis machining, EDM, and precision grinding.
Experience with quality control and inspection tools such as CMM measuring equipment. Proven track record of producing high-quality machined components on time and within specifications.
