Site and Project Engineers

  • Civil and Structural Delivery About the Employer Our client delivers engineering and construction projects across Australian transport, civil and energy infrastructure, with teams supporting major project delivery. The Opportunity Join a major energy infrastructure construction team in Tasmania. Site Engineer and Project Engineer opportunities cover civil and structural packages, reporting to senior engineering leadership. Burnie is the employer-confirmed advertising location.

Your Responsibilities

  • Plan site work and coordinate subcontractors and construction packages.
  • Maintain inspection plans, technical queries, non-conformance records and completed work lots.
  • Interpret permanent and temporary works designs and resolve field issues.
  • Monitor programmes, methods, progress and costs.
  • Support procurement, claims, variations and valuations.
  • Review risk assessments and safe work methods and uphold environmental controls.

Requirements

Skills, Education and Requirements

  • A Civil or Structural Engineering bachelor degree, or a relevant qualification, and eligibility for Engineers Australia membership.
  • At least two years of relevant major construction experience for Site Engineer opportunities; at least five years for Project Engineer opportunities.
  • Understanding of Australian Standards, digital QA/QC and site delivery systems.
  • Ability to coordinate subcontractors, engineering interfaces and project controls.
  • Planning, communication, problem-solving and commercial awareness.
  • A current Australian driver licence and Construction White Card.
