DSI Security Services is seeking a motivated and personable Security Officer to support security operations at a banking facility in Miami, FL.

This position focuses on maintaining a visible security presence outside the bank, greeting and assisting customers, monitoring exterior activity, and ensuring that designated bank parking spaces remain available for authorized bank customers. The ideal candidate is approachable, observant, professional, and capable of addressing parking concerns and customer interactions with courtesy, confidence, and sound judgment.

Responsibilities

Greet bank customers warmly and professionally, provide general assistance when appropriate, and maintain a welcoming presence outside the facility. Exterior Security: Maintain a visible and attentive security presence, monitoring the bank entrance, surrounding exterior areas, and parking lot for unusual or suspicious activity.

Parking Management: Monitor designated bank parking spaces to help ensure availability for authorized bank customers and discourage unauthorized parking by individuals visiting neighboring businesses. Professional Communication: Politely inform individuals of parking restrictions, provide courteous reminders, and address parking concerns without unnecessary confrontation.

Safety & Situational Awareness: Identify and report potential safety hazards, suspicious activity, or security concerns to the appropriate personnel. Incident Response: Respond appropriately to incidents, disturbances, or emergencies in accordance with established post orders and company procedures. Reporting & Documentation: Maintain accurate Daily Activity Reports (DARs) and document parking violations, incidents, and unusual activity as required.

Professional Standards: Maintain a neat uniform appearance, demonstrate sound judgment, and consistently uphold DSI's customer service expectations and Code of Ethics.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements High school diploma or equivalent. Valid Florida Class D Security License. Strong customer service and interpersonal communication skills. Professional appearance, positive attitude, and dependable work ethic. Ability to communicate respectfully and effectively with customers, visitors, and the general public.

Ability to remain observant, attentive, and composed when addressing challenging situations. Ability to work independently while following established post orders and company procedures. Ability to stand, walk, and perform routine exterior patrols throughout the assigned shift, with reasonable accommodation where applicable.

Basic ability to prepare accurate written reports and use electronic reporting systems. Complete required background checks and drug screening.

Preferred Qualifications

Previous experience in security, customer service, hospitality, or a similar public-facing role. Experience working in banking, retail, commercial properties, or customer-focused environments. Familiarity with parking management, access control, or exterior security operations. Bilingual communication skills (English/Spanish).
