Provide skilled physical therapy interventions under the direction and supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist. Carry out individualized treatment plans designed to improve patients’ strength, mobility, balance, coordination, function, and overall quality of life.
Provide treatments including therapeutic exercise, therapeutic activities, neuromuscular re-education, manual therapy, gait training, balance training, and functional training as appropriate. Educate patients on their exercises, treatment techniques, home exercise programs, and strategies to improve function and promote long-term success.
Monitor patients’ responses to treatment and communicate changes, concerns, and progress with the supervising Physical Therapist. Assist the Physical Therapist with patient reassessments and modifications to the plan of care as directed. Build strong relationships with patients through compassionate, individualized, and encouraging care.
Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with clinical, legal, and insurance requirements. Collaborate with Physical Therapists and other members of the clinical team to provide coordinated, high-quality patient care. Maintain a clean, organized, and professional treatment environment. Follow all applicable professional, ethical, safety, and regulatory standards.
Participate in continuing education and professional development to expand clinical knowledge and skills. Contribute to a positive team culture and excellent patient experience. Participate in patient education, community outreach, and clinic activities when appropriate. Job Qualifications Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) program.
Current or eligible for a Pennsylvania Physical Therapist Assistant license. New graduates and experienced Physical Therapist Assistants are welcome to apply. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to provide compassionate, patient-centered care. Ability to effectively carry out treatment plans under the direction and supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist.
Strong interest in helping patients achieve their functional goals and improve their quality of life. Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative clinical team. Strong organizational and documentation skills. Professional, dependable, and positive attitude. Commitment to continued learning and professional development.
Candidates with special interests or experience in areas such as orthopedics, sports rehabilitation, manual therapy, pelvic health, lymphedema, pediatrics, or other specialty areas are encouraged to apply.
