• Washington, DC, Salary Range: $70000.00 - $90000.00Salary, Job Purpose:
• The School Nurse will care for students and injured individuals, providing diverse basic care to those in need. The School Nurse will promote a healthy school environment, ensuring the physical and emotional safety of students and the school community.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain student health forms.
• Administer student medications daily and maintain accurate medical and medication records.
• Evaluate and create emergency care plans as needed for students with health concerns.
• Obtain signed doctor’s orders for medication and/or contact doctors regarding student medications or other concerns as needed.Qualifications: Required Education:
• Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Registered Nurse (RN) certification Preferred Education:
• Associate’s degree in nursing
• Bachelor’s Degree or Master’s Degree in a related field Required Experience:
• Experience in administering medications and maintaining accurate medical records
• Experience in evaluating and creating emergency care plans for individuals with health concerns Preferred Experience: - 3+ years of relevant experience, including prior demonstrated organizational experience Required Skills and Abilities:
• Ability to maintain student health forms and ensure compliance with health regulations
• Proficiency in administering student medications daily and maintaining accurate medication records
• Strong communication skills for obtaining signed doctor’s orders for medication and contacting doctors regarding student health concerns Preferred Skills and Abilities:
• Ability to evaluate and create emergency care plans as needed for students with health concerns
• Competence in maintaining a log of any student illnesses, injuries, treatments, and results
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in managing student health records and plans
