Physician Liaison

Verbal Beginnings is a BHCOE-accredited, BCBA-owned autism therapy provider serving children across Maryland and Virginia for more than 15 years. Our mission: Changing lives. One child at a time. One professional at a time. As our Physician Liaison, you’ll be the face of Verbal Beginnings in the local healthcare community.

You’ll build referral partnerships with pediatricians, developmental pediatricians, psychologists, neurologists, and other providers who help families get an autism evaluation. You’ll own your territory, grow referrals, and help more children access ABA therapy. To be eligible for this role you must live in the Maryland or Northern Virginia area.

What You’ll Get Base Salary: $72,000/year Performance-Based Bonus potential of up to $25,000/year based on performance against established business development goals and key performance indicators 25 paid days off each year to rest and recharge Paid parental leave Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance Professionally managed 401(k) plan Responsibilities What You’ll Do Build and run a territory plan to grow referrals and admissions across Maryland and Northern Virginia Visit provider offices, host lunch-and-learns, and give educational presentations Strengthen existing referral relationships and open new ones, including in underserved areas Represent Verbal Beginnings at networking events, conferences, and community events Partner with intake, marketing, and clinical teams so referred families have a smooth path to care Track activity and results in Salesforce and share market insights with leadership Qualifications What You’ll Need Bachelor’s degree Experience in pediatric healthcare, behavioral health, autism services, or ABA 3-5+ years in business development, physician relations, healthcare sales, provider outreach, or field sales A track record of building relationships with physicians and referral sources and hitting measurable goals Ability to manage a territory independently CRM experience (Salesforce preferred) Strong communication and presentation skills Reliable car, valid driver’s license, and clean driving record At Verbal Beginnings, we believe in changing lives, one child at a time and one professional at a time, and that means being an equal opportunity employer committed to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
