Substitute - Custodian

Job Summary

Paper application upon request Under the supervision of the Operations Manager, the Custodian performs routine custodial services at designated school site(s) during an assigned shift and maintains building, classrooms, gymnasium, multipurpose room, office spaces, and adjacent grounds areas in clean, orderly, and secure condition.

Requirements

/ Qualifications Possession of a valid and appropriate California Driver's license All employment with the Mark Twain Union Elementary School District is contingent upon successful completion of all pre-employment requirements which includes but is not limited to Live. Scan Fingerprinting, Physical Examination, completion of online safety training and verification of negative tuberculosis.

Possess oral and written aptitudes Perform routine custodial duties and follow a planned cleaning schedule Maintain tools and equipment in clean working order Skillfully use equipment and tools involved in assigned tasks Lift and move furniture and equipment utilizing proper physical safety measures Maintain classrooms, offices, and other school facilities in a clean, safe, and secure condition according to established guidelines Observe and report safety hazards and need for maintenance and repair Maintain consistent, punctual and regular attendance Ability to use telephones and office equipment
