Medical Advisor

Sedana Medical is a Swedish Medtech company that will soon also become a pharmaceutical company, and a clinical registration study is currently ongoing to obtain market approval in Europe for inhalation sedation in intensive care units with the pharmaceutical Iso. Con. Da® (isoflurane). Previously, the company has developed and commercialized the medical device Ana.

Con. Da, for the administration of volatile anaesthetics to mechanically ventilated patients. The company has a leading and unique position in its field of inhaled anesthetic delivery in the intensive care unit (ICU) setting. The company currently has direct sales in the Nordic, Germany, France, Great Britain and Spain as well as external distributors in Europe, Canada, Australia, Japan and South Korea.

The company headquarters are in Danderyd, Sweden with R&D operations in Ireland. With this expanding business we announce the role of Scientific Advisor in the Medical Department. The Scientific Advisor will be an essential part of developing and disseminating solid medical and scientific information for the development and implementation of the therapy, consisting of the Ana.

Con. Da technology and Iso. Con. Da. The Scientific Advisor will report to the Chief Medical Officer, and be based at the headquarters in Stockholm. International travels will be part of the job in order to work close to key opinion leaders, clinical researchers and the company´s sales country managers and sales teams.

Requirements

Education/Learning Experience

• University degree (Medical/Healthcare training or other Science-oriented)
• PhD or other documented significant research experience is meriting Work Experience
• Experience from international work in the Pharmaceutical Industry
• Experience from ICU / work towards ICU is meriting
• Experience from direct KOL/physician contact
• Project leadership experience Skills/Knowledge
• Ability to read, adequately interpret, condense and present scientific papers and medical literature
• Experience in leading project teams, including external parties like agencies and KOLs, delivering results timely and within budget.
• Open to work in an entrepreneurial organization, where ownership and own drive is of greatest importance.
