Job description
EDF internships provide high-quality experiences (including relevant projects and opportunities for networking) that form the foundation for any individual who is serious about pursuing an environmental career. Location U.S. Remote with option to be hybrid out of an EDF office in San Francisco or Washington, DC. Intern supervisor is in California and many team members are in Washington, DC.
Term Spring 2027 Hours Part-time (20hrs/week) or Full-time (35hr/week) Application Materials Interested applicants should attach their cover letter and resume to the EDF application. Program/Department Overview No one should get sick from the air they breathe, the water they drink or the food they eat, but many people are exposed to toxic air pollution and unsafe chemicals every day.
A warming climate is multiplying these threats — hurricanes, flooding and heat waves are increasingly devastating the communities living closest to polluters. EDF’s Healthy Communities department works with communities, scientists and policymakers to support people’s health, wherever they live. We push for strong laws to keep toxic chemicals out of food and drinking water, and work around the world to analyze and translate the data decision makers need to pinpoint air pollution hotspots and hold polluters accountable.
