Laborer

JOB TITLE: Laborer PAY RANGE: $23.00 -$26.00 SUPERVISOR: Production Control Manager DAYS/HOURS: 6:00am-3:30pm /Mon-Thu and 6:00am-10am/Fri DEPARTMENT: Indirect STATUS: Non-Exempt (Hourly) LOCATION: Two Harbors, MN Job Summary: This position is responsible for transporting parts and components to various work areas, operating a grinder and/or sander to remove slag from parts and components, general housekeeping, etc.

Duties/Responsibilities: Operates a forklift to transport parts and components to various work areas. Operates a grinder and/or sander to remove slag from steel parts and components. General housekeeping duties which includes sweeping shop floors, emptying garbage and chips, etc. Ensuring manufacturing equipment and areas are clean, organized and free of debris.

Other duties as assigned. Required Skills/Abilities: Regular attendance and punctuality. Positive, team-oriented attitude. Blueprint reading skills and ability to read a tape measure. Proficient in shop mathematics and layout techniques. Basic written and verbal communication skills. Knowledge of hand tools such as sanders.

Attention to detail. Works well with others.

Education and Experience

High School Diploma or GED. Prior experience in manufacturing environment preferred. Physical Requirements: Prolonged periods standing. Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at a time. Travel as necessary. EOE
