Senior Procurement Specialist

Applications are being accepted for the position of Senior Procurement Specialist with the East Valley Institute of Technology. This position will work at our Main St Campus (1601 W. Main St Mesa AZ 85201). The hours are M-F 7:30-4:00.

Job Summary

Under the general direction of the Associate Chief Financial Officer, the Senior Procurement Specialist independently coordinates and administers the District's procurement program, including competitive solicitations, contract administration, procurement compliance, and purchasing procedures. The position exercises independent judgment on significant procurement matters, advises District leadership on procurement requirements and risks, and supports efficient, transparent, and compliant acquisition of goods and services.

Job Type: Full Time, 12 Month Exempt Salary: $65,115.00 - 81,805.00. Placement in the range will be based on a combination of education, industry related experience and certification.

Education and Experience

Associate degree in business, accounting, finance, supply chain management, public administration, or related field, or equivalent relevant education and experience. At least three years of progressively responsible purchasing or procurement experience, including competitive purchasing and contract-related work.

Preferred Qualifications

Three or more years of public-sector procurement experience, preferably in an Arizona school district, CTED, community college, municipality, county, or state agency. Experience independently administering formal IFB's and RFPs; knowledge of Arizona School District Procurement Rules, USFR, and Federal Uniform Guidance.

CPPB, CPPO, or NIGP-CPP certification; experience with i. Visions or similar governmental financial software. Licensing / Certification and Other Requirements: Valid Arizona Department of Public Safety Identity Verified Prints (IVP) fingerprint clearance card. Proof of immunization against or immunity to measles and rubella if born after January 1, 1957.
