• Chicago, IL, Salary Range: $30.00 - $40.00Hourly, Job Title: Catering Driver & Event Support Reports To: Catering Manager Department: Catering Operations Position Summary The Catering Driver & Event Support team member is responsible for executing catering deliveries and supporting off-site events throughout Chicago and surrounding service areas. As a floating DMS/4 Star role, this position supports multiple restaurant locations and serves as a key ambassador of our brands during client-facing events. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals interested in building a career in hospitality, catering sales, event planning, or restaurant operations. Team members gain hands-on experience with corporate events, weddings, venue operations, client service, and catering logistics while working alongside experienced hospitality professionals. Essential Responsibilities Catering Delivery & Client Service Safely transport catering orders from restaurant locations to offices, homes, event venues, stadiums, boats, and other designated locations. Deliver catering orders accurately, professionally, and on schedule. Verify order completeness and accuracy before departure and upon delivery. Provide professional and courteous service during all client interactions and event setups. Represent 4 Star Restaurant Group with a hospitality-first mindset at all times. Communicate delivery status, timing updates, and logistical concerns to the Catering Manager and restaurant teams. Event Support Assist with catering setup according to company standards and client expectations. Load, unload, and organize food, beverages, and equipment required for catering events. Ensure all catering items are delivered in proper condition and presentation. Support event breakdown and equipment retrieval when necessary. Assist restaurant teams with catering preparation and loading as needed. Vehicle & Equipment Support Operate company vehicles safely and responsibly when assigned. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the catering van and transportation equipment. Ensure hot boxes, coolers, serving equipment, and transportation materials are returned and accounted for following deliveries and events. Report vehicle maintenance needs, equipment damage, or operational concerns promptly. Follow all food safety and transportation procedures to maintain product quality during transit.

Compensation

Compensation is based on completed catering deliveries and includes: $40 delivery fee per completed catering order Client gratuities where applicable Mileage reimbursement at $0.70 per mile when using a personal vehicle Compensation varies based on delivery volume, order size, and gratuity levels. Qualifications

Qualifications Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record Ability to meet company vehicle insurance requirements Previous experience in hospitality, catering, events, restaurant service, or delivery preferred (not required) Strong reliability, punctuality, and personal accountability Professional communication skills and guest-facing demeanor Ability to work independently while representing the company in client-facing environments Comfortable navigating fast-paced, changing event schedules Basic organizational skills with strong attention to detail Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as business needs require Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds regularly
