Wood Component Processing Operator

Receives work assignments and instructions from the supervisor. Before starting work, performs a visual inspection of the assigned machine to ensure it is in proper working condition (edge bander, through-feed dowel, insertion machine, CNC wood processing machine, multi-spindle drilling machine). Performs operations specified in the production documentation for the machine to which they are assigned.

Sets up and adjusts the machine according to the dimensions of the work pieces being processed, based on the applicable documentation and the machine operating instructions. Inspects dimensions and quality at the beginning of production and throughout the processing operation in accordance with the available documentation.

Responsible for supervising the proper work of assistant operators and ensuring the quality of processed components. Complies with all company procedures. Ensures that machines and the workplace are maintained in proper working condition. Assists the maintenance technician in troubleshooting and repairing machine malfunctions when required.

Records production output. Cleans and organizes the workplace. Uses the prescribed personal protective equipment and operates all equipment safely and according to its intended purpose. Complies with fire safety regulations as well as occupational health and safety requirements. Performs other duties as assigned by the immediate supervisor.

Responsible for the proper execution of all assigned tasks.v Requirements Qualification as a carpenter or wood machining technician. Minimum of 1 year of relevant work experience corresponding to the required level of education. Successful completion of a 3 month probationary period.
