Job description

Department: Drain Commissioner's Office Affiliation: TPOAM Gen FLSA Status: Non-Exempt Wage Grade: Rye 9 General Summary: Under the supervision of the Deputy Drain Commissioner/Engineer, prepare drainage district maps as needed for Board of Determination meetings, Days of Review and the Drain Commissioner’s page of the county website using ArcGIS mapping software and property descriptions.

Research and prepare the proper documentation needed to record affidavits for old Release of Right of Way documents. Prepare road calculations to be submitted to approving authorities. Update drainage district maps as directed by contracted engineering firms. Assist the Assessment Clerk in checking drainage district maps against assessment rolls.

Prepare history sheets as needed for Board of Determination meetings. Attend meetings or do field work as directed when needed. Employment Qualifications: Education: A minimum of an associate’s degree or equivalent with GIS certification/coursework. Bachelor’s degree preferred. Experience: Two years of experience in computer mapping or three years of experience in the drain assessment clerk position.

Must have valid Driver’s License
