Overview

The Senior Project Manager will assume full responsibility for overseeing the entire project life cycle for business application implementation projects, ranging from small to large in scale. This includes perform ing a full range of project management duties , with a key focus on ensuring the successful delivery of our implementation services, meeting client expectations, and maintaining a high level of client satisfaction while effectively managing project scope.

In addition, this role will actively contribute to, employ, and advocate for Arctic IT's Project Implementation Methodology, all the while providing support to the Director of Program Services in a variety of tasks and activities.

Responsibilities

Learn s , utilize s , and promote s the Arctic IT’s Project Implementation Methodology and work with Practice Managers to improve best practices. Full project life cycle ownership: successful project delivery will include full implementation from initiation to deployment of multiple business application projects across many clients varying in size and complexity.

Manage s concurrent small to large scale Microsoft Dynamics 365 ERP, Power Platform/ CRM , and custom IP solution implementation projects. Build s relationship s and develop s trust with key client stakeholders, serving as the primary contact throughout the project, maintaining commitments, and communicating on a regular basis as well as reaching out as necessary with more pressing issues.

Plan s projects to accomplish goals within constraints such as time, cost, and agreed quality and satisfaction standards. Develop s detailed project plans based off the solution to be delivered. Schedule s tasks, deadlines, and milestones for resources. Provide s leadership for project team by building and motivating team members to meet project goals, adhering to their responsibilities and project milestones, and delivering excellent client service.

Provide s status reporting regarding project milestones, deliverable, dependencies, risks, and issues, communicating across leadership. Develop s and manage s all aspects of project and pro gram engagement from planning, external vendor relationships, communications, resources, budget, change, risks, and issues. Delegate s tasks and responsibilities to appropriate personnel.

Evaluate s the progress on projects regularly and forecast remaining phases/tasks to complet e. Meet s frequently with internal and client team members to ensure projects are on track, identify obstacles, and navigate through them. Monitor s , track s , and control s outcomes to resolve issues, conflicts, dependencies, and critical path deliverables.

Efficiently and competently manage s problem resolution, e.g., scope-creep, changed requirements, missed deadlines, risk, quality issues, etc. Ensure s client expectations are met and exceeded in terms of quality of product and service delivered. Develop s project documentation, such as, project kick-off presentations, meeting agendas, status reports, project charters, go live plans.

Lead s client project kick-off meetings and various types of project meetings. Participate s in initial business process discovery meetings with clients to understand scope of the project. Manage s gap analysis from requirements gathered to solution proposed with team. Review s and contribute s to the content of implementation documentation, such as, Functional Requirements Document, Gap Analysis, Functional Design Document, Training Documents, Data Conversion Plans.

Perform s project acceptance and closeout procedures to adequately transition the project to Support Team. Participates in project billing review as needed and actively engages on project financials. Perform s satisfaction surveys throughout the life cycle of the implementations. Ensure s Arctic IT’s brand and image is represented appropriately.

Provide s coaching and guidance to project team members. Participate s in resource planning and identifying resources required to complete projects successfully. Stay s current with latest project management strategies, to ols, terminologies and provide input for improvements to our methodologies. Provide s feedback on performance evaluations for team members.

Provide s m entoring and subject matter expertise to entry level project managers.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Business , Computer Science, or related field Minimum of 10 years in applied experience with complex project management pref erably in ERP or C RM implementations Proven capability to b uild and maintain relationships by engaging business leaders to establish credibility and confidence Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Project Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 solutions a plus PMP certification is a plus Valid driver’s license and insurance Applicants subject to government security investigations and must meet eligibility requirements related to the clearance process WORKING ENVIRONMENT : The majority of work for this role is performed in a home office and interacts with a wide variety of people with differing functions, personalities and abilities .

Telecommuters are expected to have sufficient home office space that appears neat, organized, and professional when on vi deo meetings. Travel is required and varies around 25%.
