• Includes a Base Salary + Commission Summary: This position is essential for customer satisfaction. The primary duty is to provide support to the sales team and, together, they assist customers in selecting and ordering building-related products and services. This is an entry-level position with room for growth. On-the-job training is provided.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Provides excellent, professional customer service.
• Enters orders and places special orders.
• Maintains strong relationships with the Sales Team, Estimator, managers, customers, and vendors.
• Spends considerable time on the computer & phones.
• Assists and fills in for other sales team members.
• Helps with counter sales when needed.
• Helps achieve sales goals by growing and developing the customer base.
• Keeps up to date on new product lines and building codes.
• Understands and follows company policies and safety protocols. Credentials, Education, and Experience:
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Construction knowledge/work experience a plus.
• Training/classes in construction management, estimating, CADD, etc. helpful. Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities:
• Enjoys working with people.
• Has excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Background in residential/commercial construction recommended.
• Previous experience in retail and with a Point-of-Sale system desired.
• Knowledge of building products and uses.
• Ability to read blueprints, specs, construction takeoffs, and bid proposals is a plus.
• General computer experience with knowledge of Microsoft & Excel.
• Strong time management is needed.
• Must be highly organized, detail-oriented, and flexible.
• Ability to sit and/or stand for long periods.
