Engineering Technician

JOB DESCRIPTION Hydraulic Supply Company (HSC), a division of Motion Industries, is seeking a Hydraulic Technical Support Specialist based in West Palm Beach, Florida to work to work with our sales and engineering teams. This is an opportunity for a motivated and talented candidate to grow with a great team and a very successful company.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Answer technical questions about fluid power from internal and external customers Design basic hydraulic systems to meet customer requirements Cross-over components from other manufacturers to current supplier part numbers Interface with engineering, build shop, customer service, and sales teams QUALIFICATIONS High School diploma or equivalent required Fluid power knowledge/experience required Work will mostly consist of sitting in front of a computer on the telephone Excellent telephone and e-mail skills.

Ability to read and understand engineering drawings Attention to detail Familiarity with common office software applications (Outlook, Word, etc.) Familiarity with internet search engines and how to find information with them CAD experience a plus Willingness to learn and develop new skills as required COMPANY INFORMATION Motion Industries offers an excellent benefits package which includes options for healthcare coverage, 401(k), tuition reimbursement, vacation, sick, and holiday pay.
