Senior Financial Controller

We are currently looking for a Sr. Financial Controller to strengthen our Finance team in the office in Sofia, Bulgaria .

Your role

Develop and implement cost control procedures and systems to monitor and manage expenses across the organization Analyze cost variances, identifying areas of improvement and implementing corrective actions to ensure cost targets are met Prepare and analyze cost reports, budgets, forecasts, and variance analysis, providing insights and recommendations to senior management Collaborate with department heads and project managers to develop and manage project budgets, ensuring accurate tracking of costs and timely reporting Review and approve purchase orders, invoices, and expense claims, verifying accuracy and compliance with budgetary guidelines Conduct regular cost reviews and cost-benefit analyses to evaluate the effectiveness of existing processes, identify cost-saving opportunities, and support decision-making Track and analyze inventory costs Manage relationships with vendors, suppliers, and service providers, negotiating favorable terms and pricing agreements to minimize costs Provide financial support and guidance to cross-functional teams, assisting in the development of business cases and investment proposals Stay update to changes in cost accounting standards, regulations, and industry trends, ensuring compliance with relevant guidelines and best practices What you bring to the role: Degree in Finance, or other related fields 7+ years’ experience in finance, cost accounting with a focus on cost control and analysis Strong knowledge of cost accounting principles, financial analysis techniques and budgeting processes.

Proficiency in financial modeling, forecasting and cost-benefits analysis. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and make informed recommendations Ability to work effectively cross functionally and with multi-disciplinary project teams Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet tight deadlines Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
