Job Summary
Sinter Operator 2 is responsible for advanced production procedures in the Sinter Room.
Essential Duties
& Responsibilities: Performs basic functions of the sinter room. Stacking parts from press Making foil packs Cleaning trays and sinter boats Assists with Sinter loads as needed Performs major functions of the sinter room Loading/unloading all furnaces/tubes Building out loads Heat Treating and Quenching Measures blocks and records information Is proficient with Epicor, Paradigm Follows all CI Initiatives Ability to prioritize work using work queue Notifies GLof any equipment that is out of calibration or not working properly Makes suggestions for more efficient product throughput.
Notifies GLof any work instructions or forms that are incorrect. Maintains housekeeping standards. Follow all safety and quality standards. Ensure cleanliness of work area.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 2-3 years of manufacturing experience.
- Ability to read and interpret part prints.

Work Environment and Physical Demands: Works in a clean, well-lit production environment; requires protective footwear and eyewear. Regularly stands on cement floors with rubber mats; may involve sitting, stooping, bending, and walking. Capable of lifting and transporting an average weight of 10 lbs., up to a maximum of 40 lbs. Requires manual dexterity and near visual acuity. Ability to understand verbal instructions and comply with quality and safety regulations. Weekend Shift
- Friday through Sunday 6:30 AM - 7:00 PM Weekend Shift - 36 Hours
