Engineering Tech I

AI Signal Research, Inc. (ASRI) is recruiting for the Potomac River Test Range (PRTR) contract in support of the Naval Surface Warfare Center Dahlgren Division's non-explosive open air and indoor test, evaluation, and experimentation for the Test and Evaluation Division (E40) within the Gun and Electric Weapons Department.

Education

High School Diploma or GED. Months/Years of Experience: One (1) year of applicable experience in engineering technical work that developed skills in making measurements using test instruments and computing; or two (2) years of applicable college/vocational/military/technical school. Required Qualifications: U.S. Citizen.

Must have a valid driver’s license. Must be able to obtain and maintain a security clearance. Must be able to lift 50 lbs. Duties: This person performs one or a combination of such typical duties as:

• Assembling or installing equipment or parts requiring simple wiring, soldering, or connecting.
• Performing simple or routine tasks or tests such as tensile or hardness tests; operating and adjusting simple test equipment; records test data.
• Gathering and maintaining specified records of engineering data such as tests, drawings, etc.; performing computations by substituting numbers in specified formulas; plotting data and draws simple curves and graphs. Comments: Compliance with health mandates as dictated by the contract may be a condition of employment. Employees are subject to alcohol and drug testing as a condition of employment.
