A typical day for an Ultrasound Technologist#may include: Prepares # sends specimens to labs in the absence of the secretary. Prepares exam rooms before patient enters # cleans room following patient#s exit. Prepares patients for diagnostic procedures by assisting them onto the table # instructing them in the procedure that is being performed.

Selects # records appropriate images for the permanent The sonographer is competent in the production # analysis of ultrasound images used by physicians for patient diagnosis # treatment. #In addition, the individual must be prepared to render quality patient care by exercising discretion # judgement in the performance of sonographic services.
