Transmission System Planning Engineer I-Principal (Depends on Experience)
Job description
Shape the future of the Pacific Northwest's power grid. Grant PUD is hiring a Transmission Planning Engineer (Engineer I through Principal, based on experience) to develop power flow models, run contingency and stability analyses, and recommend transmission system improvements that keep our region's electricity reliable.
You'll work with PowerWorld and other industry-leading tools, apply NERC and WECC reliability standards, and help guide capital project decisions—from routine studies to enterprise-level strategy at senior levels. Whether you're an early-career engineer building foundational skills or a seasoned expert mentoring others, you'll have room to grow.
Join a mission-driven public utility where your analysis directly impacts grid reliability for Grant County communities.
