Participate in providing a premier Watercrest Culinary Experience for our residents in an engaging, upscale environment. Bring your expertise to the table and apply today! ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Deliver a consistently high level of customer service to each resident and maintain a safe environment by identifying problem guests and having them removed
- Keep bar area clean in accordance with the company’s guidelines as well as the requirements of the local health department
- Maintain an accurate charge drawer throughout the day and be able to account for all discrepancies in the final drawer tally, close out the POS at close daily.
- Mix all drinks based on the serving sizes as outlined in the company manual to keep drink costs at a minimum
- Develop an efficient work pace that keeps the residents at the bar and in the dining room satisfied at all times
- Must be in company uniform and resident ready at all times KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Resume and proven working experience as a bartender
- Excellent knowledge of in mixing, garnishing, and serving drinks
- Computer literacy
- Positive attitude and excellent communication skills
- Ability to keep the bar organized, stocked and clean
- Relevant training certificate EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
- High School Graduate or equivalent
- SERV Safe-Bar Certification EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
- One (1) year as a Bartender in a large-scale cooking operation, preferably in Senior Living or Restaurant PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- The following physical demands are representative of those that must be met to successfully perform the essential functions of this position:
- Able to stand or walk 75% of the day
- Able to concentrate with frequent interruptions
- Able to work under stress and in emergency situations
- Able to work under conditions that require sitting, standing, walking, reaching, pulling, pushing, and grasping
- Able to talk and hear effectively in order to convey instructions and information to residents and team members
- Occasionally lift/carry up to 50 pounds OCCUPATIONAL EXPOSURE / PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT:
- Work in all areas of the community
- Subject to reactions from dust, disinfectants and cleaning chemicals and may be exposed to infectious waste, diseases, and other conditions
- Use personal protective equipment and supplies when needed to prevent burns, falls, and infection
- Personal protective equipment includes infection control kit, rubber gloves and non-slip shoes
- This position is exposed to very hot water, hot oven temperatures, sharp knives and utensils, and broken glass, slippery wet floors and other ordinary kitchen environmental risks, requirements for personal protective equipment are apron, hair net, chef’s hat and coat, rubber gloves, hot pads, non-slip shoes, short sleeves
- Subject to infectious diseases, substances, and odors
- Follow Safety Policy & Procedures 11am-7:30pm
