8:00am-5:00pm The Patient Coordinator serves as a key member of the clinic team by ensuring an exceptional patient experience through accurate registration, scheduling, insurance verification, and coordination of patient visits. This position is responsible for obtaining and maintaining accurate demographic, financial, and insurance information, assisting patients with scheduling and payment processes, supporting providers and clinical staff, and performing a variety of administrative duties.

The Patient Coordinator promotes outstanding customer service while ensuring compliance with organizational policies, regulatory requirements, and revenue cycle processes.

Essential Functions

Create a welcoming and positive experience for patients and visitors Schedule appointments and support patient registration activities Verify insurance and maintain accurate patient records Collect payments and assist with billing-related questions Answer phone calls and provide excellent customer service Support providers and clinic staff with daily administrative tasks Utilize electronic medical record systems and office technology efficiently Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth clinic operations Maintain confidentiality and comply with all policies and regulations Perform other duties as assigned Qualifications: High School Diploma or GED required.

Minimum one (1) year of customer service experience required. Previous healthcare, patient registration, scheduling, insurance verification, or medical office experience preferred. Strong customer service and interpersonal skills. Effective verbal and written communication skills. Ability to accurately enter and maintain patient information.

Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities. Knowledge of insurance plans, benefit verification, and patient registration workflows preferred. Ability to prioritize tasks and function effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment. Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and electronic medical record systems.
