Job description

ACG_3891_JOB Our client is a leading construction and engineering company that is looking for a qualified candidate to join their firm. Construction Planning & Execution Advisory Review project documentation, design drawings, and actual site conditions to advise the Chairman on appropriate construction implementation strategies.

Develop, review, and critically evaluate overall construction execution plans for industrial factory projects. Assess construction sequences and methods for site grading, foundations, structural works, factory buildings, technical infrastructure, and auxiliary facilities. Evaluate construction site layouts and the allocation of manpower, machinery, equipment, materials, and other project resources.

Assess coordination among construction, MEP, equipment installation, and technology systems, and recommend appropriate implementation approaches. Schedule, Quality & Technical Control Review and monitor master and detailed construction schedules, identify critical paths, bottlenecks, and work packages that may create delays.

Recommend adjustments to construction methods, resource mobilization, and recovery plans when schedule acceleration is required. Inspect and evaluate construction activities against approved designs, applicable standards, regulations, and project technical requirements. Coordinate with relevant parties to resolve technical issues, design conflicts, and other matters that may affect project schedule or construction quality.

Contractor & Project Risk Management Assess the technical capability, construction methodology, and resource mobilization capacity of General Contractors and other contractors. Monitor and evaluate contractors’ ability to meet agreed schedules, quality requirements, and contractual commitments. Identify and provide early warnings on construction, technical, scheduling, site, and resource risks, and recommend preventive and corrective measures.

Conduct on-site inspections and report significant issues that may affect project implementation directly to the Chairman. Reporting & Delegated Responsibilities Consolidate, evaluate, and report to the Chairman on the construction progress and implementation status of assigned projects. Prepare technical content and participate in meetings with the Executive Management team, General Contractors, Contractors, Consultants, and other relevant stakeholders.

Monitor and follow up on the implementation of the Chairman’s conclusions and instructions relating to construction activities. Perform other duties as assigned or authorized by the Chairman of the Board of Directors.

Requirements

Education

Bachelor’s degree or higher in Civil & Industrial Construction, Construction Engineering, or a related discipline. Professional certifications in Project Management, Construction Supervision, or other relevant technical areas are preferred. Experience At least 10 years of experience in construction execution or project management, including a minimum of 5 years in a construction management or lead construction position.

Direct experience in developing, reviewing, or leading construction organization and execution plans for industrial factory projects is mandatory. Hands-on experience in foundations, structural works, factory buildings, technical infrastructure, and the coordination of MEP and equipment installation is required. Candidates who have previously held positions such as Chief Construction Manager, Project Director, Head/Deputy Head of Project Management Board, or Head of Construction on industrial factory, energy, waste-to-energy, waste treatment, or EPC projects are preferred.

Professional Knowledge & Skills In-depth knowledge of construction methods and construction organization for industrial projects. Strong ability to develop, review, and critically assess construction execution plans, design documentation, and construction drawings. Strong capability in developing and controlling project schedules, identifying critical paths, allocating resources, and resolving issues arising during project execution.

Ability to evaluate contractors’ capabilities, construction methodologies, and resource mobilization plans. Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Project/Primavera, and other relevant project management tools. Personal Competencies Strong systems thinking, analytical capability, critical thinking, and the ability to provide independent professional judgment.

Strong problem-solving, communication, and negotiation skills, with the ability to work effectively with senior management, General Contractors, Contractors, and Consultants. High level of responsibility, decisiveness, confidentiality, and ability to work effectively under pressure. Willingness to travel and work at project sites as required.
