Communications and Stakeholder Engagement Manager About the Employer Our client delivers engineering and construction services across transport, defence and infrastructure. Its teams combine practical project expertise with coordinated delivery and a focus on sustainable outcomes. The Opportunity Lead community engagement and project communications for a solar and battery energy development near Woodstock in North Queensland.

Work with project leadership to keep communities informed and address stakeholder concerns throughout construction. Local opportunities and FIFO arrangements from Queensland home ports to Townsville are available.

Your Responsibilities

  • Develop engagement plans that meet client and contractual commitments.
  • Build constructive relationships with residents, landholders, First Nations stakeholders and government.
  • Coordinate public communications, media and social media activities.
  • Handle enquiries and complaints with clear ownership and timely follow-through.
  • Identify community and reputation risks and advise project leaders on responses.
  • Help delivery teams understand their stakeholder obligations.

Requirements

Skills, Education and Requirements

  • Bachelor degree in communications, media, journalism, public relations or a related discipline.
  • Experience in stakeholder engagement, community relations or communications; infrastructure or energy exposure is preferred.
  • Clear writing and confident communication with diverse stakeholders.
  • Sound judgement when managing sensitive issues and competing priorities.
  • Collaborative working style and strong relationship management.
