Test Automation Specialist

Create and maintain test plans and test specifications for functional, regression, user acceptance and performance testing. Conduct automated and manual testing. Develop automated tests for new and existing functionality. Design and publish metrics to support automation test creation and execution. Monitor release quality and make recommendations regarding risks and stability.

Research and recommend new test tools to enhance test coverage and efficiency. Contribute to the team’s best practices and development standards.

Requirements

Minimum 3 years of experience in the same role. Post-secondary degree in Computer Science or related. Experience with CI/CD practices, automated tests, builds, and deployments. Experience with both automated and manual test strategies. Experience with UI and API automated testing frameworks. Knowledge of performance evaluation strategies and tests.

Experience in testing cloud and desktop applications. Experience with Windows environment and .NET framework. Experience with cloud environment such as Azure, AWS or GCP. Understanding applications from both technical and end-user perspectives. Staying current with software industry trends and best practices. Ability to apply basic mathematical concepts such addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.

Ability to apply mathematical operations to such tasks as frequency distribution, termination of test reliability and validity, analysis. Knowledge of word processing software, spreadsheet software and database software.
